The Phil Shanline Scholarship

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Some of you may have experienced the problem of having your scholarship applications returned to by the Postal Service. This situation was due to an oversight on the part of Section 1302 which resulted in our post office box being closed. The PO box is now open and applications sent to the section will be received.

As a result of the above, the scholarship application deadline has been extended to March 31st. As a reminder, you may also submit your application online by submitting it to 1302 ASQ Scholarship. For those of you who had applications returned and wish to avoid the cost of additional postage, you may wish to scan your documents and submit the application to the section email address as a PDF file. You may also submit Word documents and Excel spread sheets.

Section 1302

Section 1302 of the American Society for Quality offers scholarships yearly to students attending post-secondary education in the ASQ - Section 1302 territory, which includes all of Nebraska and into some contiguous states. There are eight $500 awards and one $1000 award annually.


Basic Scholarship Requirements are:
2.0 minimum GPA-For two grading periods
Application and Short Essay (750 words)

Applications accepted Jan 1st to March 15th.
Award recipients will be contacted in May.
Checks are required to be mailed directly to the learning institution.
Target award distribution date is September 10th of each year.
