LEAN OPERATIONS MANAGER

LEAN OPERATIONS MANAGER (EXCLUSIVE): Omaha client has a GREAT Opportunity for a Lean Professional to plan, direct, and coordinate the deployment of Lean throughout the company. Duties and responsibilities include, training and evaluation of resources to effectively utilize materials and human resources to achieve results and managing daily Lean activities, planning events and working with plant management to identify areas for improvement. In this role, you will review cost savings of all Lean events through metrics and measureables to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement; Establish and implement Lean events, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with management, organization officials, and staff members as necessary; Determine goals and improvements to be made, and set metrics and measureables, based on forecasts of customer demand; Plan and direct activities such as Kaizens, coordinating with other department managers as required; and Recommend locations for Lean deployment in the current process improvement area. This opportunity requires strong skills in Visual Factory, Kaizens, 5'S, TOC, FIT Teams and Value Stream Mapping, manufacturing experience, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Skills in developing measurable metrics for analyzing complex issues, knowledge of visual production and quality management processes, and a strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and procedures will be appreciated. This key role requires a Bachelors Degree. Some travel regionally and nationally will be involved. Position Description:
Responsible for the development, direction, and coordination of Quality programs meant to reduce service call rates. Includes responsibility for increasing customer satisfaction and reducing associated costs. Also responsible for the warranty costs for all products.

Key Responsibilities:
 •   Direct and coordinate reduction activities at all locations.
 •   Work with quality technicians, process engineers, and other staff to implement quality enhancements to products and processes.
 •   Work closely with Quality Managers and personnel at each location to evaluate the impact of improvement programs
 •   Work closely with Plant Managers, Product Engineering Managers, and personnel to incorporate process and/or design changes needed to reduce and improve customer safety.
 •   Monitor improvement activities in order to determine impact on meeting Quality targets.
 •   Work closely with Marketing Managers, distributors and consumers to gain necessary input related to and other concerns.
 •   Provide monthly reports to all functional managers.
 •   Coordinate the interface with the field service technicians in order to gain accurate feedback as to field quality issues.
 •   Be accountable to the Group Vice President for establishing plans and implementing goals and programs.
 •   Direct and supervise the activities within the Quality Department which includes Field Service, Product Safety, Quality Audit, and Reliability Testing.
 •   Direct the activities of the Quality and Reliability function. Responsible for conformance to the product development process and reliability qualification testing of new products and design changes both pre and post production.
 •   Work closely with Purchasing Managers in identifying those components and materials that affect and require quality improvements. Assist with the implementation of supplier quality improvement programs.
 •   Direct supervision of six employees.
 •   Other related responsibilities as assigned by the Group Vice President.

Skills and Qualifications:
 •   Minimum qualification of Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
 •   CRE, CQE certifications.
 •   Direct and coordinate reduction activities at all locations.
 •   Proven project coordination ability at all organizational levels.
 •   Proven effective communication skills at all levels within an organization and with the consumers.
 •   Seven or more years’ experience in related Quality work, with continually increasing responsibility related to Quality Control, Field Service, Product Design, and Management/Supervision.

Location: Iowa
 •   Preferred experience working for an OEM of hydraulics, motors, or drive train type components.

Quality Engineer- #4455

Our client is now a leader in supplying power drives and hydraulic driven power transmissions with a global market of customers in the agricultural, construction and off road vehicle industry. They offer an exceptional state of the art engineering center with interesting and challenging problems. You will be associated with a high performance team, focusing on initiative, openness, quality consciousness, and teamwork.

In this position we are seeking a Quality Engineer to provide analytical support in assigned phases of various programs intended to assure quality of products and maintain < 250 DPM. You will be involved with detailed quality aspects of the incoming parts, assembly processes, finished products and working with suppliers and customers.

Some key responsibilities include:
 •   Providing analytical support utilizing Gage R&R, Capability Analysis, Correlation Analysis, design of experiments, process control of product, process controls planning, and corrective action of defective parts or units.
 •   Work with quality technicians, process engineers, and other staff to implement quality enhancements to products and processes.
 •   Develop control plans for new and existing product and assist others in development of quality procedures.
 •   Evaluate and cost justify new inspection equipment and oversight of installation and operation for initial use.
 •   Develop training material and conduct training on quality control activities with necessary staff.

Desired Skills
 •   Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
 •   2+ years in Quality Engineer role or supplier development involving quality issues or product development.
 •   Demonstrate knowledge and success with quality program utilization.
 •   Preferred experience working for an OEM of hydraulics, motors, or drive train type components.
